Pamputtae And Nicki Minaj on Canada leg of Pink Friday 2 Tour

dancehall artiste Pamputtae delivered an energetic cameo at Nicki Minaj’s sold-out Pink Friday 2 tour on Tuesday night.

The It Good singer captivated the audience with her raspy vocals, much to the delight of screaming fans during her Gag City debut in Toronto, Canada as she opened for the Trinidad-born superstar.

Pamputtae walked out doing a verse from her 2008 hit, It Good and the temperature spiked as she showed off her dancehall flair with her provocative twerking, the Jamaican bandana on her left thigh moving in delightful symmetry with her assets.

After this, Pamputtae paused, and then implored the audience to follow her on Instagram and even spelled out her name for the screaming fans.

“I just want to take the time out to big up Nicki Minaj. Pamputtae from outta Kingston, Jamaica, a single mother of two boys and I come to kill it. Drop the track,” she said, and then she did her verse from Fine Nine.

Pamputtae’s friend and fellow artiste Spice celebrated on Instagram with fire emojis and wrote: “It good, ieh good, eh good, eh good, good, good. Woooieeeeeee.”

While D’Angel praised Pamputtae’s performance saying “God and time sis. Wul dem Pam, you did great.”

After her super-charged cameo, Pamputtae enjoyed the rest of the show from the VIP area, then spent some great one-on-one time with rap queen Nicki Minaj backstage, who introduced her via her Instagram story.

“Y’all, guess who blessed us with her presence tonight in Gag City? It’s none other than Pamputtae… First of all, shout out to Toronto, and what you up to in Toronto boo?”

Pamputtae then spoke to Nicki’s fans, spilling the beans on her future plans to shoot videos and such.

Pamputtae and Minaj first connected in September 2021 when Minaj endorsed Pamputtae’s music on Instagram, inundating her with thousands of new followers.

The friendship was cemented when Pamputtae was an essential part of the Fine Nine Remix, an all-female take on Skeng’s 2022 Likkle Miss track.

Pamputtaethat the Toronto experience was life-changing as her followers on Instagram have soared since her cameo.

“When mi come off stage, mi de a 447 and by the time mi de a VIP, it reach 448 (thousand),” she said.

She said her Toronto cameo wasn’t planned but God made it happen.

“Nicki said she had her set planned out, but something came to her spirit, sh felt something in her and I thank her so much for this opportunity. Afterwards, mi and her inna the stadium just a vibe and chat. Nicki deal with me good, her team deal with me good, her deejay boost me up and cheer me up. He told me ‘give them your name, spell out your Instagram,” she disclosed.

The It Good singer is still in awe at just how everything came together perfectly.

“Mi caan sleep, mi a wonder if me dream it, is not something mi have inna mi thoughts, but I have been praying, Father God, mi need a breakthrough, you see the tongues that rise up against me, you have to shame dem, yu know your daughter heart, yu know the heart weh mi have and Nicki Minaj made it happen,” she said.

“Nicki Minaj told me ‘you have a good spirit and energy before mi meet you’. She rate me so till, ah me and her in the venue fi hours after, God ah open bigger and better doors, mi have a whole heap of things in store but I am going to continue to be humble and do the work,” the artiste said.

She revealed that there are plans in motion for her to do a show in the United Kingdom.
