Bounty Killer Message To Rapper NBA Youngboy Amidst Federal Charges

Killer posted the video saying, “Its Bounty Killer and I am just here to share some words of empowerment and encouragement to my little brother, Kentrell Gaulden, better known as NBA Youngboy,” he began.

dancehall artist Bounty Killer is extending sympathy to top streaming American rapper NBA Youngboy, real name Kentrell DeSean Gaulden who was arrested and charged with multiple federal offenses on April 17.

He continued, “As most of you might have seen and heard in the media, he has been charged with multiple charges, serious federal charges, but we are all innocent until proven guilty and God has the last verdict all cases. You are not done but we has successful black men have been targeted by the system forever, so we have to walk the straight and narrow at all times. So just know that we are here with you, in faith and prayers so just hold the faith and stay encouraged and just know that life is a journey, it’s not a destination suit doesn’t stop here.”

YoungBoy Never Broke Again, has multiple Billboard #1 album and was last year’s most streamed hip-hop artist and the second-most streamed artist in the United States on YouTube.

He was arrested in Utah on multiple charges, including possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted individual and engaging in a pattern of unlawful activity, both classified as Class 2 felony charges. He was apprehended by the Cache County Sheriff’s Office at 2:50 p.m., according to official records, with no bail established.

Additional charges against laid on the 24-year-old rapper include attempting to obtain drugs/prescriptions, identity fraud, forgery, and possession of other controlled substances.

This incident follows a history of legal entanglements for the Louisiana-born artist. Previously, he had been under strict house arrest after being arrested twice during a 2020 music video shoot. Subsequently indicted in March 2021 for allegedly possessing two firearms during an arrest involving 16 individuals charged with drug and weapon offenses at a music video filming location, YoungBoy awaits trial on those gun charges.

Despite a federal judge easing house arrest conditions in December to allow access to mental health treatments, the rapper’s plea for extended studio time was denied.

YoungBoy’s legal history also includes a 2022 acquittal of knowingly possessing a firearm during a separate 2021 arrest in Los Angeles. During that incident, he was apprehended by LAPD following a brief foot pursuit, during which officers discovered a pistol beneath the passenger seat of his vehicle. Notably, the district court judge excluded the use of YoungBoy’s lyrics as evidence during the trial.

In 2023 alone he released “Decided 2”, “I Rest My Case”, “Don’t Try This at Home” and “Richest Opp” along with his record label Never Broke Again release “Never Broke Again Presents: Green Flag Activity, Vol. 2”.

Two years ago, the Cashmoney Records rapper hopped on remix of Skillibeng’s ‘Wap Wap’ and has also recorded the unreleased track ‘Jamaica Talk.’
