Jaheel Hyde won Jamaica’s first gold medal at the Pan American Games on Friday afternoon.
Hyde clocked 49.19 seconds to win the men’s 400m hurdles final to take Jamaica’s medal tally at the games to five.
Brazil’s Matheus Lima took the silver in 49.69 while Cuba’s Yoao Illas claimed the bronze in 49.74.
