Jamaica College’s Chavez Penn registered a jump of 2.05m to win the Class 1 boys’ high jump at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championships on Saturday.
Penn was followed by Calabar’s Jevontae Grant (2.00) and Herbert Morrison’s Santino Distin (2.00).
The Class 2 boys’ title went to Kingston College’s Tejahni Haynes with a mark of 2.00m. Kijaun Williams of Calabar High and Happy Grove’s Jaquan Souden both cleared 1.95m for silver and bronze, respectively.
Meanwhile, Wolmerians Shanniqua Williams (1.76) and Danielle Noble (1.73) completed the quinella in the Class 2 girls’ final. Sabrina Atkinson of Hydel High won bronze with a jump of 1.70.
